Beginning credits play over: Transylvania 1887
🎬 Opening Credits: THE ROAD TO AMBER
FADE IN:
A blizzard‑scoured mountainside.
Snow whips across jagged stone like claws.
The wind howls with a voice that sounds almost human.
Far below, Barovia is swallowed by fog.
Ahead, only white void and the promise of something ancient.
The camera pushes through the storm toward a narrow, icy pass.
A faint amber glow pulses deep within the mountain —
like a heartbeat.
TITLE CARD:
THE AMBER TEMPLE — carved in harsh, angular lettering, glowing like trapped fire.
The glow flickers.
The wind dies.
Silence falls.
❄️ CHARACTER INTRODUCTIONS — THE MOUNTAIN WATCHES
(Each name appears as the camera passes them)
Fleetwood (Richard Armitage)
On a cliff edge, securing the horses against the rising storm.
His breath fogs in the air; frost clings to his beard.
He looks up as a distant rumble shakes the mountain —
not thunder.
Something shifting beneath the ice.
He tightens his grip on the reins.
Clarion (Gwendoline Christie)
Standing before a frozen shrine carved into the rock.
Her lantern flame burns steady despite the wind —
then bends sharply, pointing toward the mountain’s heart.
Amber light flickers across her armor.
She whispers a prayer that echoes too loudly in the stillness.
She rises, resolute.
Greegan (Matt Ryan)
Picking his way across a treacherous ledge.
His Fogor Isle compass spins wildly, then stops —
pointing toward a sheer wall of ice.
He mutters, “That’s not natural,”
and keeps moving, boots crunching on frost.
Behind him, something stirs beneath the snow.
Felonious (Ben Whishaw)
In a sheltered alcove, poring over a map of runes and half‑forgotten lore.
The parchment trembles in his hands —
not from the cold.
A shadow passes over him, long and angular.
He looks up, but nothing is there.
The runes glow faintly amber.
Silverleaf (Tatyana Maslany)
Standing at the mouth of a cavern, bow drawn.
Her breath crystallizes into drifting motes of amber light.
She watches them rise, unsettled.
The mountain seems to breathe with her.
A low hum vibrates through the stone.
Ireena (Thomasin McKenzie)
At a frozen overlook, staring into the storm.
Snow curls around her like a shroud.
A raven lands beside her —
its feathers rimed with frost.
It caws once, sharply.
She nods, understanding.
The raven takes flight toward the peaks.
Arabelle (Cailee Spaeny)
Kneeling in the snow, eyes rolled white.
Frost creeps up her lashes.
She whispers:
“The Temple remembers you.”
The wind recoils from her voice.
Ezmerelda (Morena Baccarin)
Sharpening her blade beside a dying campfire.
The flames sputter —
then flare amber for a heartbeat.
She freezes.
Her shadow stretches impossibly long across the snow.
She smirks, masking the shiver.
🏔️ FINAL SHOT — THE DOORS
The storm parts for a single breath.
Revealing colossal stone doors half‑buried in ice.
Amber veins pulse faintly within the rock,
like trapped lightning.
The camera pushes closer.
A whisper curls through the air —
ancient, hungry, patient.

COLD OPEN BEGINS:
Scene: The Vistani Trail — En Route to Ravenloft
EXT. VISTANI PATH — EARLY MORNING
Background Music: Fabomusic - Old Svalich Road
The forest holds its breath.
Mist clings low to the ground, curling around boots and hooves like pale fingers reaching from the earth.
The old Vistani trail, once whispered of as a safe passage, now feels like a corridor carved through dread itself.
Ezmerelda leads. Her blades remain sheathed, but her hands twitch near the hilts.
Her eyes flick from shadow to shadow, every rustle a threat.
EZMERELDA (low): “This path used to be safe. Used to be sacred.”
Greegan walks beside her, jaw set, voice rough as gravel.
GREEGAN: “Now it smells like rot. Like something’s watching.”
Behind them, Clarion rides with her holy symbol hidden beneath her cloak.
Her lips move in quiet prayer — each word a ward against the creeping silence.
CLARION (softly): “The land remembers pain. And it’s remembering us.”
Arabelle rides last, bundled in her cloak.
Her eyes are wide, her breath shallow.
She clutches a charm of protection so tightly her knuckles pale.
🩸 Signs of Strahd’s Dominion
A tree split down the middle, its bark blackened, its sap running red.
A Vistani wagon overturned and burned, its wheels still smoldering.
A flock of ravens circling overhead — scattering as if chased by something unseen.
A stone shrine desecrated with blood and bone, the symbol of the Morninglord defaced.
EZMERELDA (grimly): “He’s marking the land. Like a predator. Like he knows we’re coming.”
GREEGAN : “ Then let him know. Let him fear it.”
CLARION: “He wants us afraid. He wants us divided.”
ARABELLE (quietly) : “We are divided.”
The party halts at a clearing where the mist thickens.
The trees bend inward, their branches like arms bowing to something unseen.
Ezmerelda kneels, pressing her palm to the cold earth.
EZMERELDA: “This was a Vistani crossing once. Now it’s a grave.”
Clarion places a hand on her shoulder.
CLARION: “Then we walk through it. And make sure it’s not the last.”
Greegan steps forward, eyes blazing.
GREEGAN: “That bloodsucker wants a game? We’ll give him war.”
Arabelle lifts her gaze, voice trembling but clear.
ARABELLE: “He’s close. I can feel him. But so is Emil. So is hope.”
The party moves on — deeper into the mist.
The path narrows.
The signs grow darker.
But their resolve burns brighter.
And somewhere ahead, Ravenloft waits.
Scene: The Road to Tsolenka Pass — Dusk
❄️ EXT. MOUNTAIN TRAIL — DUSK
Background Music shifts: Fabomusic - Exploring Tsolenka Pass
Snow drifts in restless sheets, the wind carving ghostly paths through the cliffs.
The party climbs — Fleetwood, Felonious, Kasimir, and Ireena — their breaths ragged, their steps heavy with cold and memory.
Fleetwood halts.
The silence presses close.
FLEETWOOD (low) :”Wait.”
He turns, scanning the trail below.
A flicker — a silhouette in the snow, tall and still, watching.
Fleetwood blinks.
Gone.
IREENA (approaching): “What did you see?”
FLEETWOOD: “Something. Or someone. Watching.”
KASIMIR (grimly): “The mountain has eyes. And not all of them are kind.”
🪶 The Monument Ahead
The wind falters.
The trail bends — and there it stands.
A six‑foot stone figure, half‑buried in snow, carved from ancient rock.
Its avian beak and talons remain, but the wings are shattered — jagged stumps reaching toward the gray sky.
A sentinel turned relic.
A wound turned monument.
Felonious brushes snow from its base, his voice low.
FELONIOUS: “A guardian. Or a grave.”
KASIMIR (softly) : “Older than Strahd. Older than the Temple. The bird of prey — once divine judgment.”
IREENA: “Now it’s broken.”
Fleetwood steps forward, gloved hand resting on the cold stone.
FLEETWOOD: “Then let it stand for us. Wounded. But still watching.”
🎬 Final Beat
The snow thickens.
The wind returns, howling through the pass.
The monument fades behind them — a shadow swallowed by the storm.
Fleetwood glances back once.
The flicker in the snow lingers in his mind.
And the mountain whispers — not words, but memory.
EXT. VISTANI PATH — DAY INTO NIGHT
Background Music: Fabomusic - Old Svalich Road
🎞️ Opening Shot
The party pushes through the Hollow Pines — trees twisted like ribs, branches clawing at a sky that never brightens.
The trail narrows, slick with frost. Mist coils around their boots as if trying to pull them back.
🐾 SIGNS OF STRAHD’S REACH
Ezmerelda leads, cloak snapping in the wind. She stops at a tree carved with a bloody sigil.
Her jaw tightens. She moves on.
Clarion murmurs prayers, her hidden holy symbol glowing faintly as they pass a shrine to the Morninglord — smashed, defaced, bleeding wax and old blood.
Silverleaf scouts ahead, but even her keen senses falter.
Tracks loop in impossible circles.
The forest birds are gone.
Greegan trudges forward, breath steaming. He nudges aside a rotting deer carcass — its eyes black pits, its ribs gnawed clean.
Arabelle hums a soft protective melody, clutching her charm.
The mist recoils from her voice.
🥀 THE NECROTIC CHANGE
🎞️ Mid‑Montage Beat
They stop to rest beneath a leaning pine.
Ezmerelda opens her satchel — the dried meat inside has blackened, slick with rot.
Clarion breaks her bread; it collapses into gray ash.
Silverleaf’s berries shrivel in her palm, leaking pale ichor.
CLARION (horrified): “It’s necrotic. The land is poisoning our food.”
GREEGAN (gruff) : “Then we eat nothing. And we keep moving.”
They bury the ruined rations beneath a cairn of stone.
The wind howls as if approving.
🏰 ARRIVAL AT RAVENLOFT
Background Music Shifts: Fabomusic - The Walls of Ravenloft
🎞️ Final Montage Sequence
Castle Ravenloft, rising like a wound against the storm.
Towers jagged. Windows glowing faint red.
The drawbridge hangs slack, a noose waiting for a neck.
Ezmerelda stares at the gates, hand tightening on her hilt.
Clarion whispers a final prayer, breath trembling in the cold.
Silverleaf draws her bow, eyes scanning the parapets.
Greegan cracks his neck and steps forward, unafraid.
Arabelle closes her eyes; her charm pulses once, faintly.
🎞️ Closing Shot
Five silhouettes stand before the gates of Ravenloft, framed by lightning and storm.
The wind rises.
The doors groan.
And the castle waits.
EXT. MOUNTAIN TRAIL — LATE AFTERNOON
Background Music shifts: Fabomusic - Exploring Tsolenka Pass
Snow thickens into a curtain, swallowing sound.
The wind knifes through cloaks and armor, sculpting the drifts into ghostlike shapes that rise and fall with each gust.
Fleetwood, Felonious, Kasimir, and Ireena climb the narrowing trail — each step slower, heavier, more uncertain.
The cliffs loom on either side, pale and jagged.
The valley below has vanished into a sea of mist.
Kasimir stops.
His breath curls in the air.
His eyes track the ridgeline with the focus of someone remembering a wound.
KASIMIR (low) “We’re close.”
FLEETWOOD: “To the Pass?”
Kasimir shakes his head — once, sharply.
KASIMIR: “To them.”
He turns to the others, voice dropping into something grave and personal.
KASIMIR (CONT’D): “On my last attempt… I encountered them here. Snow maidens.
Spirits of ice and vengeance.”
The wind moans through the rocks, as if answering.
KASIMIR (CONT’D): “They do not speak. They do not bleed. They only watch — until you’re too close to run.”
Ireena steps closer, her breath trembling.
IREENA: “What are they?”
Kasimir’s gaze drifts to the white horizon.
KASIMIR: “Remnants. Of those who died on this mountain with hatred in their hearts. Women betrayed. Lovers abandoned. Children lost. The cold kept their grief alive. And now it wears their faces.”
Felonious exhales, a plume of frost.
FELONIOUS (dry): “Lovely. Ghosts with frostbite.”
Kasimir doesn’t rise to the bait.
KASIMIR: “They move like wind. Strike like hail. And if they touch you…
You remember every regret you’ve ever buried.”
A beat.
The wind howls louder, as if stirred by the memory.
Fleetwood tightens his grip on his sword.
FLEETWOOD: “Then we don’t bury anything. We face it.”
IREENA: “Or we freeze trying.”
Kasimir nods once — a warning, not reassurance.
KASIMIR : “If they come… Don’t speak. Don’t plead. Just burn.”
The party presses on.
The snow deepens.
The cliffs close in.
The world narrows to white and breath and heartbeat.
Above them, the clouds churn like something waking.
And somewhere in the storm, the maidens wait.
EXT. MOUNTAIN TRAIL — DUSK
The wind screams along the cliffside.
Snow falls in thick, blinding sheets, turning the world into a shifting white void.
The trail narrows to a ledge carved into the mountain, the drop below swallowed by mist.
Fleetwood, Felonious, Kasimir, and Ireena push forward, cloaks whipping, boots crunching through frost.
The air is thin, metallic, and heavy with something ancient.
Kasimir stops.
His breath catches.
KASIMIR (hoarse whisper): “They’re here.”
The storm seems to listen.
❄️ THE SNOW MAIDENS APPEAR
Background Music Shifts: Black Sabbath - Snowblind
From the swirling white, twelve figures drift into view — tall, pale women shaped from ice and shadow.
Their gowns ripple like frozen rivers.
Their eyes glow faint blue.
Their hair floats as if underwater.
Their feet never touch the ground.
They form a silent circle around the party, closing in like a tightening noose.
Ireena draws steel.
IREENA: “What do they want?”
Kasimir’s voice is barely a breath.
KASIMIR: “Regret. Memory. Pain.”
Felonious lifts his hands, sigils burning to life.
FELONIOUS: “Then they came to the right place.”
One maiden glides forward.
Her face is familiar — heartbreakingly so — a reflection of someone lost, someone mourned.
Her voice is a whisper carried by the storm.
SNOW MAIDEN: “Choose what you bury. Or we will dig it up.”
🩸 RAHADIN’S PARALLEL TRIAL
EXT. LOWER RIDGE — SAME TIME
Far below, Rahadin moves along a separate ridge — a shadow cutting through the storm.
The snow thickens around him.
Three maidens descend, drifting like falling petals.
Not to test.
To judge.
Rahadin’s hand tightens on his blade.
RAHADIN (coldly): “I do not fear you.”
But his psychic aura trembles.
The screams of the dead swell — louder, sharper, closer.
The maidens say nothing.
They encircle him.
They all resemble dusk elf women - different ones, perhaps ones he knew.
RAHADIN (snarling) : “I have no regrets.”
One maiden reaches out, touching his shoulder with a hand of frost.
SNOW MAIDEN (softly): “Then you have no soul.”
Rahadin strikes — steel, shadow, spell — but the snow swallows every blow.
He vanishes into the storm, pursued by the silent dead.
🔥 BACK ON THE TRAIL
Fleetwood steps forward, sword raised, eyes locked on the lead maiden.
FLEETWOOD: “We don’t play your games.”
The maiden tilts her head, almost pitying.
SNOW MAIDEN: “You already are.”
Kasimir lifts his hands — frost and fire gathering, swirling.
KASIMIR: “Burn them. Before they remember us too well.”
Felonious unleashes a blast of arcane fire.
Ireena charges.
The cliffside erupts in light and shadow.
The maidens scream — not in pain, but in memory.
The battle rages on the narrow ledge.
Above, the storm churns like a living thing.
Below, Rahadin flees into the white, the maidens drifting after him.
Scene: Slopes of Mount Ghakis — Near Tsolenka Pass
EXT. MOUNTAIN TRAIL — DUSK
The wind screams across the cliffs. Snow whirls in blinding sheets. The party stands surrounded—Fleetwood, Felonious, Kasimir, and Ireena—encircled by a dozen snow maidens, their forms flickering between mist and flesh.
Felonious casts a warding sigil, and three of the maidens dissipate, their forms unraveling into snowflakes that vanish on the wind.
But one remains.
❄️ The Frostbite of Memory
She moves like a whisper—gliding toward Ireena, her hand outstretched, her face a mirror of Ireena’s own mother, long dead.
IREENA (staggering back): “No—stay away!”
Too late.
The maiden’s hand grasps Ireena’s wrist, and the frost spreads instantly—veins turning blue, skin cracking, eyes wide with pain.
SNOW MAIDEN (whispering): “You left them. You lived.”
IREENA (screaming): “I didn’t choose this!”
She collapses to one knee, clutching her arm, the frostbite blooming like a curse. Her breath comes in ragged gasps—not just from pain, but from the sting of regret.
🩸 Felonious Struck
Another maiden lunges at Felonious, her fingers trailing ice. He twists, barely dodging—but her hand grazes his cheek, leaving a burning line of frost.
FELONIOUS (gritting his teeth): “You want memories? Take mine. They’re poison.”
He hurls a blast of arcane fire, driving her back—but the wound pulses, cold and deep.
⚔️ Fleetwood and Kasimir Evade
Fleetwood rolls beneath a sweeping arm of ice, rising with his blade drawn, eyes locked on the remaining maidens.
FLEETWOOD: “Kasimir—now!”
Kasimir chants in ancient Elvish, a burst of flame erupting from his palm. The maidens recoil, their forms flickering.
KASIMIR: “They feed on guilt. Don’t give them yours.”
The snow thickens. The maidens retreat, their whispers lingering.
Ireena shivers, her arm wrapped in cloth, her eyes distant.
IREENA (softly): “She looked like my mother.”
Fleetwood kneels beside her, voice steady.
FLEETWOOD: “She wasn’t. She was what he wants you to believe.”
Felonious wipes blood from his cheek, staring into the mist.
FELONIOUS: “Let’s keep moving. Before they remember us again.”
🕯️ EXT. RAVENLOFT PERIMETER — NIGHT
Background Music shifts: Fabomusic - Walls of Ravenloft
The wind howls across the cliffs, dragging mist like torn veils along the stone.
Castle Ravenloft towers above — jagged, immense, lit by flashes of distant lightning.
The party stands at the northeast wall, swallowed by shadow.
Greegan crouches low, brushing aside a curtain of ivy.
A narrow stone door emerges — half-rotted, half-forgotten, a scar in the castle’s flesh.
GREEGAN (low) : “This is how we got in last time. Strahd might’ve closed up this chink in the armor.”
Ezmerelda scans the parapets, blades ready, eyes sharp.
EZMERELDA: “If he did, we’ll make a new one.”
Arabelle steps forward, pale but steady.
Her voice is soft, but it carries.
ARABELLE: “This may be the only way to stop the werewolves. To return the Alpha to his den. Before they tear the valley apart.”
Clarion rests a hand on her shoulder, her holy symbol glowing faintly beneath her cloak.
CLARION: “Then we walk into the lion’s mouth. And we don’t flinch.”
🗝️ GREEGAN’S EXPERTISE
Greegan kneels before the door.
His fingers move with practiced precision — tracing stone, tapping seams, testing weight.
A pressure plate.
A needle trap.
An arcane glyph disguised as lichen.
GREEGAN (muttering): “Strahd’s gotten clever. But not clever enough.”
He twists a hidden latch, slides a blade into a seam, and—
Click.
The door shudders open.
A gust of cold, stale air spills out — dust, blood, old fire.
Silverleaf exhales.
SILVERLEAF (quietly): “We’re in.”
🎬 INT. SERVANTS’ STAIRWELL — NIGHT
Background Music: Fabomusic - Exploring Castle Ravenloft
A narrow spiral staircase descends into darkness.
The stone is slick with moisture.
Torches flicker in sconces that haven’t burned in years.
The walls seem to breathe with the castle’s pulse.
Ezmerelda leads, blades drawn, every sense alive.
Greegan follows, steps measured, eyes mapping every shadow.
Clarion murmurs prayers, her light pushing back the dark.
Silverleaf watches the rear, bow ready.
Arabelle clutches her charm, breath steady, gaze forward.
Each step echoes like a heartbeat.
ARABELLE (softly): “The shilmulo knows we’re here.”
Ezmerelda doesn’t slow.
EZMERELDA: “Let him. We’re not here to hide.”
The stairwell opens into the lower quarters — stone halls lined with faded tapestries, silent doors, and the weight of centuries.
The castle groans above them.
And somewhere deep within, Emil waits.
Scene: Slopes of Mount Ghakis — After Leaving the Monument
❄️ EXT. MOUNTAIN ROAD — LATE AFTERNOON
Background Music: Fabomusic - Exploring Tsolenka Pass
The party pushes onward — Fleetwood, Felonious, Kasimir, and Ireena — leaving the ancient monument behind as the world narrows into a corridor of stone and storm.
To the north, a jagged spire juts skyward like a stone needle, sharp and defiant.
To the south, a sprawling ridge slumps over the valley, heavy with snow and silence.
Behind them, the Svalich Woods vanish beneath the shadow of a low mountain spur.
Ahead, there is only white, gray, and wind.
🌨️ THE STORM RISES
The wind sharpens into a shriek, threading through the crags like a chorus of banshees.
Snow doubles, then triples — swirling in violent squalls that blind and batter.
Fleetwood leans into the gusts, cloak snapping like a torn banner.
Felonious mutters warming cantrips, his breath freezing in midair.
Ireena shields her face, boots sinking into shin‑deep drifts.
Kasimir pulls his cloak tight, shouting over the storm.
KASIMIR: “I don’t know how much farther we can travel in this! The gatehouse is close — but it’s guarded. And if we stay out here much longer, we risk exhaustion… or worse!”
The storm answers with another blast of icy wind.
🧊 THE MOUNTAIN FIGHTS BACK
The road disappears — swallowed by snow, indistinguishable from the cliffs around it.
Every step becomes a battle.
Fleetwood slips, catches himself, curses under his breath.
Felonious conjures a flickering light — swallowed instantly by the squall.
Ireena stumbles, frostbite creeping pale across her fingers.
Kasimir stops, scanning the white void for any sign of shelter.
IREENA (through chattering teeth): “We need cover. Anything. Even a cave.”
FLEETWOOD: “Or we push through. We’re close. We have to be.”
FELONIOUS: “Close doesn’t matter if we freeze before we get there.”
Kasimir points ahead — barely visible through the storm.
KASIMIR: “There’s a ridge. If we reach it, we might see the gatehouse.”
🎬 FINAL BEAT
The party presses on, bent against the wind, their silhouettes swallowed by the storm.
The mountain groans beneath them.
The snow rises.
The light fades.
And somewhere ahead, the gatehouse waits — guarded, silent, and watching.
❄️ EXT. MOUNTAIN RIDGE — NIGHT
The blizzard roars overhead, a wall of white fury devouring the sky.
But beneath a massive outcrop of stone — a natural arch carved by centuries of wind — the party finds a narrow alcove, dry and mercifully shielded from the worst of the storm.
Fleetwood spots it first, raising his arm against the wind.
FLEETWOOD (shouting): “Here! Get under!”
They scramble inside, boots crunching through crusted snow.
The space is tight, barely enough for four bodies and their breath, but the stone muffles the storm — like the mountain has cupped a hand around them.
For the first time in hours, they can hear themselves breathe.
🧣 INSIDE THE SHELTER
Felonious conjures a small, flickering flame — just enough to warm the air, not enough to draw attention.
Ireena unwraps her frostbitten arm, wincing as the feeling returns in painful waves.
Kasimir leans against the stone, eyes closed, cloak wrapped tight around his shoulders.
Fleetwood stands at the entrance, watching the storm with his sword still strapped, refusing to let his guard drop.
Kasimir’s voice is rough, scraped raw by cold and fear.
KASIMIR (hoarse): “We’ll rest here. But not long. The gatehouse is close… and guarded.”
Ireena exhales, her breath trembling.
IREENA (softly): “I didn’t think the mountain could feel this cruel.”
Felonious doesn’t look up from the flame.
FELONIOUS (dryly) : “It’s not cruel. It’s indifferent. Strahd is the cruelty.”
Fleetwood turns from the storm, his voice low but steady.
FLEETWOOD: “Then we make this place remember us. Not as victims. But as the ones who climbed through hell to end him.”
The fire flickers.
The wind screams.
But inside the stone hollow, the party breathes — battered, freezing, but together.
Not safe.
Not yet.
Above them, the mountain waits.
🕯️ MONTAGE — DESCENT INTO RAVENLOFT
INT. CASTLE RAVENLOFT — LOWER LEVELS
Background Music Shifts: Fabomusic - Exploring Castle Ravenloft
The castle seems to inhale around them.
🍽️ PASSING THE KITCHEN
A cavernous kitchen yawns open — soot‑choked hearths, rusted iron, and long‑dead embers.
Silverleaf pauses at a butcher’s block.
The wood is stained.
Still damp.
A cleaver shifts — just a twitch — then lies still.
No one speaks.
They move on.
🕰️ THE BUTLER’S QUARTERS
The next chamber is pristine.
Too pristine.
A chair rocks gently, though no one sits.
A ledger lies open on a desk, pages fluttering in a wind that isn’t there.
Clarion stiffens — sensing a presence, patient and watchful.
Arabelle clutches her charm tighter, knuckles white.
🗣️ WHISPERS AND SHADOWS
Ezmerelda leads, blades drawn but silent.
Greegan’s eyes track every seam in the stone, every shadow that lingers too long.
Clarion’s light flickers, revealing portraits with their eyes scratched out.
Arabelle hums under her breath — a soft, trembling melody that keeps the dark at bay.
The castle whispers.
Not words.
Memories.
🗝️ THE QUESTION
They reach a junction — three corridors, all descending into deeper dark.
Greegan studies the paths, jaw tight.
GREEGAN (low): “How do we get to the crypts from here?”
Ezmerelda answers without looking up.
EZMERELDA (whispering): “Hidden stair behind the wine cellar. South wall. Leads to the Hall of Bones. From there, straight down.”
Greegan nods, eyes narrowing.
GREEGAN (CONT’D): “Then let’s find the wine. And uncork hell.”
🎬 FINAL BEAT
The party slips deeper into the castle.
No alarms.
No guards.
Only silence.
And the weight of the dead pressing in from every wall.
🕯️ INT. CHAMBERLAIN’S OFFICE — NIGHT
The candle flickers.
A shadow demon melts into the stone as the door opens, leaving the room unnervingly still.
The party stands frozen, listening to the silence breathe.
Greegan kneels beside a bookshelf carved into the far wall, running his fingers along the mortar.
GREEGAN (low): “There’s a seam here. Pressure plate. Old… but still active.”
Ezmerelda watches his hands with surgical focus.
Clarion dims her light.
Silverleaf checks the corners.
Arabelle clutches her charm, eyes wide.
Greegan finds the latch.
GREEGAN (CONT’D): “Got it.”
He twists.
CLUNK.
Stone grinds against stone — loud, ancient, impossible to ignore — as the bookshelf slides aside, revealing a narrow stairwell plunging into darkness.
Ezmerelda winces.
EZMERELDA (tense): “Subtle.”
Clarion’s voice is tight.
CLARION: “That was heard. By something.”
Silverleaf nods sharply.
SILVERLEAF: “We move. Now.”
Arabelle shivers.
ARABELLE (softly): “The castle’s awake.”
Greegan rises, wiping dust from his hands, scowling toward the ceiling.
GREEGAN: “And where’s old Banshee Butt? This is his office, his sanctum sanctorum. He should’ve come screaming down on us by now.”
Ezmerelda raises an eyebrow.
EZMERELDA: “Rahadin doesn’t miss things.”
Greegan snorts.
GREEGAN: “Exactly. So why isn’t he here trying to gut us?”
A beat.
The silence feels heavier.
🕳️ THE DESCENT BEGINS
They slip into the stairwell one by one.
The door grinds shut behind them, sealing the office away.
The air grows colder.
The stone walls sweat.
The silence thickens — no longer empty, but listening.
Greegan mutters as they descend.
GREEGAN (whispering): “If Emil’s down here… we find him fast. Before whatever heard that finds us. Or before Banshee Butt remembers his job.”
A shadow ripples across the wall — slow, deliberate.
And somewhere deep below, a door creaks open.
FADE TO BLACK
